Innovator Founder Programme

Build the venture and the founder.
Built for your UK Innovator Founder Visa.

Most founders approaching the Innovator Founder Visa have a business idea. What they do not yet have is the venture rigour, strategic fluency, and founder capability that endorsing bodies are actually looking for. The Innovator Founder Programme closes that gap. Experientially, in eight weeks.

The Innovator Founder Programme: why it exists

The three tests every Innovator Founder Visa application must pass

The UK Innovator Founder Visa is endorsed against three published criteria: Innovation, Viability, and Scalability. Endorsing bodies assess every submission through those three lenses, then pressure-test them in a live interview.

Most applications fall short not because the founder lacks ambition, but because the submission does not demonstrate all three criteria coherently, and the founder cannot defend business when challenged.

"The endorsing body is not reviewing your plan. They are assessing whether you are the kind of founder who can build and scale a genuinely innovative UK business."

Innovator Founder Programme: Three phases

Three phases. One outcome.

Each phase builds on the last, from venture architecture to commercial case to full endorsement readiness.

Throughout all 8 weeks: 10+ hours per week of 1:1 and group mentoring across the cohort.
01
Weeks 1–3

Innovation & Market Foundation

Build the strategic foundations of the venture. Define a defensible innovation claim, validate a real market opportunity, and establish why this founder for this venture.

  • A defined and defensible innovation claim, mapped to commercial differentiation
  • A validated market opportunity with credible sizing and UK entry rationale
  • A competitive landscape analysis and positioning framework
  • Oxford in-person workshop, Week 2
  • Full curriculum details are shared after your discovery call.
Criterion: Innovation
02
Weeks 4–6

Viability & Scale

Build the commercial and financial case. By the end of Phase 2, founders have a full financial model, a business plan draft, and a clear investment thesis.

  • A full three-statement financial model and capital deployment plan
  • A scalability architecture with unit economics and job creation projections
  • An investment thesis and fundraising narrative
  • Live fireside sessions with investors, VCs, and endorsing body representatives
  • London in-person workshop days, Weeks 4 and 6
  • Full curriculum details are shared after your discovery call.
Criterion: Viability + Scalability
03
Weeks 7–8

Endorsement Readiness

The integration phase. Founders bring everything built into a complete, submission-ready pack, then defend it under the same scrutiny as the endorsement interview.

  • A complete submission pack: business plan, financial model, questionnaire responses
  • A Dragons' Den-style pitch presented to a live investor panel
  • A mock endorsement interview with individual debrief
  • Final presentations assessed against Innovation, Viability, and Scalability
  • Oxford in-person final day, Week 8
  • Full curriculum details are shared after your discovery call.
Criterion: All three
The methodology

Experiential by design.

Most entrepreneur programmes deliver content. The information is everywhere. What content cannot give you is the experience of applying it under pressure: building something in real time and defending it in front of people who will tell you where it breaks.

The Innovator Founder Programme is delivered by Infinitum Education, an education company with a track record of delivery across the UK and internationally. Infinitum's Entrepreneurship Bootcamp has been praised consistently by participants and faculty across 30 or more countries. The IFP applies the same simulation-based, experiential methodology, built for founders, with everything mapped directly to the IFV endorsement criteria.

Week 8: The Pitch Competition

Present your venture in Oxford in a Dragons' Den-style pitch competition, before a live panel of investors and experts, with questions you cannot prepare a script for.

What you demonstrate
A fully-built venture with financial projections, market analysis, and a scalability plan you own and can defend.
Who is in the room
Investors, endorsing body contacts, faculty, and peers. The same level of challenge you will face in the real endorsement interview.
What this produces
An endorsed-quality submission pack and a founder who has been tested under live scrutiny.
IFP: Endorsement readiness

What endorsing bodies actually assess.

The Innovator Founder Visa has three endorsement criteria. Every session in the Innovator Founder Programme maps to one or more of them. By Week 8, founders have a verified, evidenced, presentable case against all three.

1
Innovation
Your business must be genuinely innovative and not derivative of existing products. Endorsing bodies look for a defensible innovation claim with commercial differentiation.
IFP Phase 1 builds and evidences this claim.
2
Viability
Your business must be financially viable with a credible market opportunity, realistic projections, and a founder who understands the numbers.
IFP Phase 2 builds the financial model and investment thesis.
3
Scalability
Your business must have the potential to scale and create jobs in the UK. Endorsing bodies assess whether the architecture supports growth.
IFP Phases 2 and 3 build and validate the scalability case.

Common questions

Before you enquire.

The programme
The Innovator Founder Programme is not a document-writing service. You build the business case yourself, with structured guidance, mentoring, investor exposure, and live feedback mapped directly to the three endorsement criteria. A consultant produces a document. The IFP produces a founder who can defend it.
Each week combines live workshops, 1:1 mentoring, venture-building exercises, strategic reviews, and peer discussion, all applied directly to your own business. You will regularly present, defend, and refine your venture under real-time feedback. There is no passive content consumption.
The founding cohort is limited to five founders. This is intentional: it enables substantial access to faculty, mentors, and programme leadership throughout the eight weeks, and creates a cohort small enough to work as a genuine peer group.
That is a normal part of the process. The programme is designed to pressure-test and strengthen ventures. Many founders refine their positioning, commercial model, or market focus during the eight weeks. The structure supports evolution rather than locking founders into a fixed premise.
Endorsement and outcomes
No. Most founders join before finalising an endorsing body. The programme is designed to strengthen overall venture quality and founder readiness first. It also helps participants understand the differences between endorsing bodies and which may be the better fit for their venture and profile.
No. Endorsement and visa decisions are made independently by the relevant endorsing body and UK authorities. Infinitum Education is not an endorsing body and has no influence over those decisions. The programme is designed to maximise founder readiness and submission quality. The outcome rests with the founder and the endorsing body.
A complete submission pack including your business plan, financial model, investment narrative, and pitch materials. A founder who has been tested in front of live investors. A mock endorsement interview on record. And significantly greater strategic clarity, venture readiness, and confidence to defend your business under scrutiny.
The in-person sessions are an important part of the programme and are strongly encouraged. Founders who face international travel constraints may discuss alternative arrangements on a case-by-case basis during the discovery call.
